Verizon has either Gone insane or they are about to stick it to the competition. First they Matched their DSL price to other ISP's around $25 a month, then they lowered that to $19.99 the first three months and $24.99 after that. The other ISP's remained at $24.99 and $34.99 respectively.

Now they have done it again. Only this time it is insane. It is even lower than Dial Up! They are offering DSL for $9.99 the first three months and then it is $19.99 after that. Looks like now that they have the new toy "Fios" to play with, they are willing to give away the old one "DSL" to charity. This has to be good for us gamers. I ordered my DSL today. That has got to be some kind of record. I may be wrong but I don't think DSL at any speed has gone that low in price before. Wish they had done this a year ago before I got on fios. Oh well some lucky folks will save.

Dude, DSL is going to be with us for a long time. Al least a few more years. Fios will not get to everyone for some time to come. Just imagine some Areas in the Country don't even have DSL yet. These folks have no other option other than use dial up. So yes Verizon still sells DSL and will be for several years ahead.

And Oh yes, Verizon still sells DSL. Fios is only available to a Fraction of Verizon's customers. they have Landlines in over 28 states so it will take sometime to convert that whole real estate to Fiber. Matter of fact I just visited the Old DSL site and they just Redesigned it meaning you will probably still see it for a while.
